WC soccer - Disappointing.
soaps - DOOL - IIRC, Stephanie originally dumped Alex because he messed
with her phone, yeah?! Well, Stephanie, having forgotten her own
history, deletes an important voice mail from Joy off Alex's phone -
What are the odds she gets away with this one?! BoosterBrady kind of
figures out that EJ must be messing with the test results (but doesn't suggest they out-source follow-up tests?!).
ÿÿ GH - Lizzie keeps poking her nose into Willow's/Nina's sh*t - Jack Brennan covers for them, but who long can they keep Lizzie off the
trail. Chase confronts Brook Lynn about framing Willow, and she stupidly cops to it - these two are probably through now! Awful Lulu confronts
Carly, and for once I was on Carly's side - I don't know how Carly
managed to restrain herself from punching the bitch! Josslyn sets up Valentin to reunite with Anna, figuring that ultimately that will break Valentin and Carly up.
They Will Kill You (HBO Max) - A flick I think even BTR might like!
ÿÿ Arthur is correct - this 2026 horror-comedy(?) is thematically very, very similar to "Ready or Not" (esp. RoN 2). I wondered if maybe this
was based off a graphic novel or something that predated "Ready or Not",
but it doesn't seem to be. (So, yeah! They must have ripped RoN off!)
ÿÿ All that said, I actually enjoyed this quite a bit more than "Ready
or Not 2". It's not that "Ready or Not 2" is "bad" - it's not. It's just that I thought "They Will Kill You" was more enjoyable (and delivered
with better "flair"), despite having a very similar storyline to "Ready
or Not 2".
ÿÿ Gist: Ex-con Zazie Beetz (from "Deadpool 2", among other things),
who abandoned her younger sister after shooting their abusive father,
tracks the now-adult sister (Myha'la, from "Industry" and "Bodies Bodies Bodies") to a strange building in New York (that immediately gives off "Satanic cult" vibes!!).
ÿÿ Well, go with the vibes!
ÿÿ Soon enough, the ex-con is fighting for her life as some of the
denizens of the hotel (including Heather Graham, and Patricia Arquette
as the head of housekeeping!) try to abduct and/or kill(?) her.
ÿÿ I will say this, some of the (action) sequences in this are on par
with "John Wick"-level stunt work, so kudos for that!
ÿÿ Anyway, this was enjoyable (if pretty darn gory!) romp.
ÿÿ IJB says "Check it out!"

Evil Dead Burn (theatrical) Sixth entry in the Evil Dead franchise.
Although it is directly connected to all the movies in the franchise,
this one more closely follows the events of 2013's "Evil Dead" and
2023's "Evil Dead Rise." This time around the dead who happen to be
evil aren't waiting around for anyone to say an incantation or play a recording of one. The dead who happen to be evil are on the warpath
against a specific family who are standing in their way. This is an excellent entry in the franchise, and like the last two, it drops all
humor and replaces it with hard core gore and violence. I think I spent half the movie with my eyes closed. This one also breaks a couple of
taboos that even the hardest of hard-core horror movies usually won't break.

Forgot one thing:
The Night Everything Changed (LMN) - This was probably a little better
than I was expecting.
ÿÿ Gist: Daughter (and her boyfriend) go missing, and her mom (and the
dad, who the mom divorced) goes searching for them, along with the
police.
what happened than they are letting on.
ÿÿ Still, this was one of those movies that felt like they ran out of screentime, so I felt that the movie's ending was abrupt and not fully complete or satisfying.

The police were helpful?ÿ I thought this was a lifetime movie.
But it's clear that the daughter's "friends" know more about
what happened than they are letting on.
Sounding a little close to current events.
