I was expecting that we would hear that Mitch McConnell is dead on
Monday. I've seen rumors of the flags at the White House being at half
mast and a supposed announcement of the death of some powerful
political figure on Monday.
Now I hear that Lindsay Graham has died on Saturday. Apparently he had
been ill for a short time and died at the age of 71. I didn't even
know that he was ill. I'm sorry for his family's loss.
I'm still expecting some sort of announcement regarding McConnell as
the information coming out about his condition when taken from his
home isn't good. Then they have apparently cleaned out the attached
home to McConnell's that was used for his caretaker. Signs that what
ever his current condition is, he is not expected to return home.
So I know that with McConnell if he is to replaced before August
something (13th?) the Governor gets to choose the interim replacement. Otherwise it's going to be left open till the voters chose the
replacement Senator. Not a clue what happens with Lindsay Graham's replacement.

The presenter in the video is quite dismissive of that claim, saying it
is typical bluster from the Iranians, but obviously can't rule it out altogether.
While something like a shooting or bombing is going to leave a great
deal of visible evidence, we can't rule out some kind of poisoning
without an investigation. I would be shocked if a thorough autopsy isn't conducted immediately just to be sure of the cause of death.

There was a federal court decision a number of years ago that forced
Senate vacancies to be filled with special elections like House
vacancies. As that requires adequate time to circulate nominating
petitions, hold a primary, and then hold a general election, and in
states wth runoffs, hold those, there may not be time as the term has
just a few months remaining. I have no idea if the law still allows a governor's appointee at all.
Lindsey Graham is the nominee for the full six year term. Like Maine, if
it's not past a deadline, I'm guessing that there will be a party
convention to replace the nominee.

Preliminary finding: aortic rupture
That's not survivable.

I realize you're not asking me but I have learned that she was a

I am actually under Dr?s orders not to go outside because I am on blood pressure medication and it?s also 115,000øF out there and that causes your vessels to open and your blood pressure to drop so going outside would be like taking an overdose of blood pressure pills. So of course I just took
out the garbage can during a dust storm.

Can you explain to those of us who never read a news story about her who >>> that was?
And if you force thread drift, would you please change Subject?
I realize you're not asking me but I have learned that she was a
passionate believer in free speech who told the Oxford Union that she
did not think people should be entitled to live an offense-free life.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njj_rG_9HKM [12 minutes]
A leading campaigner for all things LGBT condemned her as a bigot
because she opposed all changes demanded by the Rainbow Mafia.
She was a long-time member of the Conservative Party and served in both
Cabinet and Shadow Cabinet roles. She supported Brexit and also served
in the EU parliament for a time as a member of the Brexit Party. She was
helping Reform in recent years.
You really ought to watch the video I've cited above. I am confident you
will be in full agreement with her remarks because you've said
essentially the same things on several occasions.
Thank you
I just love that things I take for granted that I do routinely in the
United States would get me arrested anywhee else. The rest of the
worldsucks.

When it gets up that high most people's central units including my own
can't keep up with the entire house. Back during the 2023 heat wave I
bought a portable air conditioner I just roll into my small bedroom and
hook the exhaust tube up to a window, then store it away again when it
cools down. It's been a lifesaver during the dog days of summer.

No raccoons here. We had them in Phoenix at Mom?s house. We had all sorts
of wildlife at the foot of the mountain. But the most unusual thing we see >here is the occasional road runner.

Also British politician Ann Widdecombe was found dead at home,
apparently murdered.

It was interesting how fast and how pointedly the police described their two suspects as "white British", something they absolutely never do when the suspect is diverse.
