Major Doctor Who & Grey's Anatomy Icons Join Forces
For Surprise Hulu TV Show

Hulu has added another exciting project to its growing lineup with
two famous television stars, Jodie Whittaker and Ellen Pompeo,
coming together. A new pilot is ready to tell the story of family,
crime, and second chances, with an award-winning team at the helm.
The project is now preparing to start production later this year.

The longtime TV stars will play estranged half-sisters in Hulu's
new crime dramedy pilot
According to Deadline, Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker has joined
Hulu's Chicks in a leading role. She will play Doreen, the
estranged half-sister of Chickie, played by Grey's Anatomy star
Ellen Pompeo. It marks the first time the two television stars are
working together.

The story follows Chickie and Doreen after their father suddenly
dies. Instead of receiving money or property, they inherit his
history of small-time crime. The sisters decide to continue his
work by pulling bigger and bolder scams. They slowly rebuild their
broken relationship and grow closer.

Doreen is described as tough, hardworking, and always ready to
take on any job. She has also been involved in a few illegal side
hustles over the years. Doreen simply wants to be accepted by
Chickie, even though her older sister has a rough attitude.

Katie Robbins has created and written the pilot for Hulu. The
series is being produced by 20th TV and is based on an original
idea Robbins developed for Pompeo after they worked together on
Good American Family. Robbins, Pompeo, and Laura Holstein serve
as executive producers. The pilot is expected to begin filming in
New York this September.

Whittaker recently received a BAFTA nomination for her performance
in Netflix's Toxic Town. She is also known for becoming the first
woman to play the Doctor in Doctor Who. Meanwhile, Pompeo became a
TV icon through her long-running role as Meredith Grey in Grey's
Anatomy.

Chicks is shaping up to be one of Hulu's most interesting new
projects, with two popular TV stars leading the cast.
