Popular The CW TV Show With Dawson's Creek Star Lands Season 5 Renewal

One of The CW's most popular romance drama TV shows is returning next
year following its renewal for a fifth season. The show, starring
Dawson's Creek star Chad Michael Murray, will return with 10 new
episodes. Following its debut on CTV, it made its way to the U.S.
audience via The CW, followed by a successful Netflix release.
What The CW TV show has been renewed for Season 5?
The CW has finalized a deal to co-produce and bring back Sullivan's
Crossing for a fifth season (via Deadline). The series was previously
renewed by CTV and the Canadian network Crave over a month ago.
Sullivan's Crossing season 5 will enter production in Nova Scotia
later this summer.
The series was created by Roma Roth. Its upcoming season will feature
a new head writer, Floyd Kane, who will replace Roth. However, she will
remain an executive producer. The show is based on Robyn Carr's
eponymous series of novels, the last of which was released in 2020.
"I could not be more excited that?Sullivan's Crossing?will be returning
for its fifth season," said Roth. "From the beginning, my goal was to
create a long-running series that would resonate deeply with a global
audience, and I'm thrilled that our fans have supported us every step
of the way. I'm incredibly proud of what we've accomplished alongside
our valued partners, crew, and cast and remain committed to guiding the
series as we continue to build on our success with Season 5."
Roth continued to state that she was "delighted" to have Kane stepping
in as the head writer, "whose talented storytelling will help shape the
next chapter of?Sullivan's Crossing."?She, meanwhile, will be
spearheading an adaptation of another Carr book series, Thunder Point,
on CTV.
Sullivan's Crossing stars Morgan Kohan, Chad Michael Murray, Tom
Jackson, Andrea Menard, and more. Scott Patterson, who was the co-lead
on the show for its first three seasons, is not expected to return in
season 5.
Deadline also reported that the series has averaged over 1 million
viewers across multiple platforms, aided by its Netflix syndication in
the U.S. last year. Its season 4 finale ranked #6 on Netflix's English
series chart globally after its release in late June.
Sullivan's Crossing season 5 will premiere on The CW in the U.S. in
2027.
