He put more thought into this than the actual writers had.
Not convinced Sisko's backstory was necessary
and trying to shove the Dominion War into the Q narrative doesn't really work. It's almost like the reveal on Supernatural that Chuck was writing
a tv series.
Still, it's a fun effort.

Janeway encountering Q had to be the stupidest bit of stunt casting I've ever seen. I can just imagine how it went in the writers' room:
IDIOT 1: So we need to bring a franchise favorite onto the show to boost ratings during sweeps. Someone from one of the other TREK shows.
IDIOT 2: How can we do that? Our entire premise is that our ship is stranded so far away from everyone else they can't even make contact with them, let alone get back in their lifetimes.
IDIOT 1: So how about Q? I mean, he can pop in and out anywhere he wants in the universe instantaneously. He even threw the Enterprise halfway across the galaxy in an instant once.
IDIOT 2: Umm... yeah, that's exactly why he can't be on our show or every single viewer is going to ask, "Why doesn't he just snap his fingers and send Voyager back to Earth?" And if he did that, we wouldn't have a show anymore.
