The Odyssey was offensively bad. I?m not one to go crazy at seeing a black person in a movie, but this is just absurd, on par with the Broadway
musical Hamilton where all the founding fathers are recast as gay Puerto Ricans.

But it was so super-duper important that they not stray one whit from Polynesian culture when making MOANA that they had a whole team of cultural experts on set to make sure every little detail was culturally authentic.
Culture only matters when it's not white.

The ancient Greece of Christopher Nolan is 50% Anglo-Saxon, 25% Sub Saharan >> African, and 25% every other race (including Israelis, Chinese, South
Asians, and Mesoamericans), but not one Italian, Iberian, Greek, Balkan or >> other Southern European actor.
The Mediterranean without Mediterraneans, that's what
Jew's want.
This is totally ruined by the fact
that the Greek warrior we are expected to mourn is a F to M transsexual who at once looks like a 3rd grader at their first communion while also
suffering from Benjamin Button?s reverse aging.
The real message Nolan is
trying to convey is that Robert Pattinson?s 1 dimensional 80s high school jock trope portrayal of Antinous is bullying Page (he breaks the 4th wall
and wants you to assume for being transsexual) and deserves to die for
that.
The sole redeeming feature is Matt Damon?s performance. The poor guy
gave this awful script his all but still couldn?t save it.

Testosterone is really, really hard on women. I saw an interview with a detransitioner, and she'd ended up with the worst of all worlds: the
acne and cracking voice of a teenaged boy, the potbelly and receding
hairline of a middle-aged man, the crackling dryness of an old woman,
and still a few traits of the young woman she was underneath.
She'd taken T for about five years, and even though she'd stopped, her
health was permanently damaged. She didn't expect to live very long.

That's disappointing. The Odyssey isn't supposed to be about high
school. Then again, it already sounded doomed to be bad, so I'm not
really surprised.

There's only so much actors can do. At a certain point, it's really
about saving the actor's own reputation from the movie's terrible buzz.

Terrible buzz? It's got an 89 at Metacritic and 8.4 at IMDb. Though
such numbers can never be definitive, they hardly suggest a borefest.

No, but big initial numbers are usual for a big release.

I follow these particular numbers fairly regularly and, although IMDb's
may indeed drop, it shouldn't be by but a couple of decimal points.
Maybe I misunderstand what's meant by "terrible buzz". If it means "relative to the hoopla", then, yeah, this flick arrives bathed in
every conceivable pretense (...like most Nolan offerings, imo). Still,
I'd be very surprised to find it, say, un-recommendable...
