Hit Peacock TV Show Spin-Off in Development,
    Cast & First Details Revealed
    --------------------------------------------
A new spin-off derived from one of Peacock's biggest hits is
officially in development. Bel-Air star Coco Jones will reprise
her role as Hilary Banks in the potential new series, with early
details around the story revealed. The project stems from
Bel-Air producers Westbrook Studios and Universal Television.

According to a Deadline report, the TV show is titled Hilary and
comes from Westbrook Studios and Universal Television. Tracy
Oliver is writing the project and will executive produce
alongside Jones, Will Smith, and other producers.

If greenlit, the project would mark Peacock's first scripted
original series to spawn a direct spin-off. Bel-Air originally
debuted on February 13, 2022, becoming a major hit for the
    streaming platform.

    What is Hilary all about?
The story follows Hilary after she accepts an unexpected job from
celebrity chef Yvonne Durand. She moves to New York and wants to
prove herself without depending on her family's connections.
However, her fresh start comes with unexpected costs. Hilary must
deal with new challenges involving her career, friendships, and
    love.

The premise follows a different path from the end of Bel-Air. The
fourth and final season showed Hilary returning to Los Angeles
from Costa Rica to open her own cafe. Interestingly, her new move
to New York mirrors the conclusion of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,
where the original version of Hilary also relocated to New York.

Bel-Air ran for four seasons, ending its run in December. The
dramatic series was inspired by Morgan Cooper's viral 2019 fan
film that reimagined the iconic 1990s Will Smith sitcom.

Beyond this project, Jones has also appeared in Vampires vs. the
Bronx and the psychological thriller Strung. Her upcoming work
includes a romantic comedy That's Her.

While Hilary remains in active development, Peacock has not yet
issued a formal series order or announced an official release date.

It's topsy-turvy! Cue the Gilbert and Sullivan music! She's made it
completely on her own through entirely magical circumstances!
