Carrie Coon's Underrated HBO Show Sets Return Release Date
in The Gilded Age Season 4 Trailer
    ----------------------------------------------------------
Carrie Coon's The Gilded Age is returning for Season 4. HBO has
also released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming season. The
eight-episode season premieres on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at
9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. It will also be available to stream on
    HBO Max.

Created by Julian Fellowes, The Gilded Age is set in 1880s
New York. The series follows the wealthy families competing for
social status and influence. Coon stars as Bertha Russell, a
social climber determined to help her family become part of
New York's elite. Her success, however, comes with a cost.

The official Season 4 logline reads, "Bertha Russell changed
Society at a cost. Now, her family must reckon with the
consequences as Agnes van Rhijn seizes an opportunity to regain
her position. Meanwhile, Marian forges a new path for herself,
and Peggy works to be accepted by her future in-laws. In this
new era, you must be careful what you wish for."

What do we see in The Gilded Age Season 4 trailer?
The teaser trailer opens with the aftermath of Bertha's growing
influence. Her success has changed her family's standing, but it
has also created new enemies. At the start of the trailer, Bertha
says, "We are truly being tested." She adds, "We must fight with
every tool we have." Her husband, George Russell, reminds her
that she may be "the key" to their family's survival.

Christine Baranski's Agnes is also preparing for a comeback. She
sees an opening to regain the social power she once held. The
trailer hints that she will not let the chance pass easily. Agnes
says, "Vengeance shall be mine." She will take matters into her
own hands, as she finds the lord "too lenient."

The trailer also highlights the personal stories unfolding
alongside the social battles. Peggy Scott, played by Denee Benton,
faces the challenges as she tries to win over her future in-laws.
In the trailer, she says, "I am overjoyed to be marrying into the
family, but I'll be joining as myself."

Coon, Baranski, and Benton return alongside Cynthia Nixon, Morgan
Spector, Louisa Jacobson, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Blake
Ritson, Ben Ahlers, and more. The Season 4 cast also includes new
additions like Taylor Trensch,?James Scully, Andrew Burnap, and?
    Adrienne Warren.

The Gilded Age Season 4 will bring more family drama, social
rivalries, and conflicts among New York's elite. The new season
premieres November 1, 2026, on HBO and HBO Max.

This is absurd. We never saw Agnes as a social leader, but 27 steps
behind Mrs. Astor. She was never fabulously wealthy, just upper middle
class. She was accepted, barely, because she didn't try to displace those
with far more money. This is a complete retcon.

Peggy is a complete fantasy and ridiculous, but loads of fun because the
people she is thrown up against are utterly vile. It's possible to
accept her fictional situation. Her in laws are played by some rather well-known actors who must love playing villains.

Coon, Baranski, and Benton return alongside Cynthia Nixon, Morgan
Spector, Louisa Jacobson, Taissa Farmiga, Harry Richardson, Blake
    Ritson, Ben Ahlers, and more.

Taissa, now 35 years old, is still playing a teenager! Is she really
    there for the entire season?

The real mystery is, Will HBO fire the dude who thought all natural
lighting would be fabulous? We watch the show for the set decorations!
No viewer wants to see these dark sets!

    Wow - Already?

But this may be a function of it taking me at least a half-a-year before
    I saw season #3.
