Given the massive pie-in-the-face that Cambridge has suffered with its
handling of compulsive liar Jason Arday, one might think Cambridge would play it safe with his replacement.

But no, they're taking the "hold my beer" approach.

Cambridge University's education faculty has appointed an assistant research professor who wrote that Muslims should study engineering and computers "to produce advanced weaponry for jihad against the West in order that the deen [Islam] may dominate over all other deens".

In a Hizb ut-Tahrir pamphlet (an international Sunni Islamist political organization) ? published in 2002, and republished in 2017 (Ahmed was not involved in the republication) ? Ahmed wrote a chapter in which she attacked Western education as a threat to Muslims, condemned democracy and integration, and criticized British schools for teaching pupils that child marriage is wrong.

The same pamphlet includes a second, even more radical chapter, co-written by Ahmed and another senior Hizb activist, Nazreen Nawaz, head of its women's section. It describes Hizb's plan to create a fully Islamic education system
as part of an Islamic dictatorship, the Khilafah, which is its core goal. As the chapter puts it: "Nothing will be contained within the curriculum that contradicts Islam, such as the teaching of the ideas of freedom, nationalism, democracy or evolution in a positive light. Nor can there be any schools established based on any other religion, sect or race. Even the non-Muslims need to be educated under the curriculum of Islam... by pushing them to think about the correct belief in life."

It's worth noting that Hizb ut-Tahrir was proscribed as a terrorist organization in 2024, which Cambridge apparently thinks is a resume
    enhancement for Ahmed.

Well done, Cambridge. We expect nothing less at this point.

She says she ended her association with Hizb ut-Tahrir 15 years ago.

Doesn't change what she wrote and advocated for.

And really, Cambridge couldn't come up with *anyone* other than a former
member of an Islamic terrorist organization to take Arday's post? There was no one, perhaps from the native British population maybe, that could do the job?

Yes, it would appear that she's heavily propagating Islam today:

Of course, I think that *any* faith-based proselytizing, unless done
while walking on water, should be relegated to curiosity shops.
