That the amazing thing, David. Those are layers of sawdust that
look like sandstone formations. Most of these old folks have
sticks up their asses, and couldn't appreciate sleeping in a
tent, even at the state park. Heck, I'm glad though. I don't
want their kind out there. There's also a creek nearby where as
long as you're a half, or even a quarter mile from a road
access, you won't see a single other person. That meant me and
my friends didn't have to wear swimsuits. By mid September,
when we're not so busy with other commitments, there will be
bathwater warm, clear as tap water swimmin' holes, even with a
not overly hot air temperature, and it should be that way for
several weeks. Maybe we'll even hike down to the place we
called Sandy Beach. Many, many naked camping trips there over
the years. We used to be able to get Jeeps down there, and we
had elaborate meals.
The Sawdust Pile is amazing, and I've also gotten started many blackberry plants that are primocane bearing, so there will be
ripe blackberries in September and October. They are right at

That's a strange local eco-system for sure. This entire state is
made of layers of rock. In a few million years, these islands
will have eroded down to tiny coral atolls in the middle of
nowhere.

It occurs to me that a lot of folks on the mainland aren't familiar
with coral reefs.
Yet they vacation at them all the time.
Unobservant lot.
It's like coral reefs might as well be located on
the planet Mars. I suppose that's only natural. I had a client that
got a Darwin award. Not the famous one but a lesser known one.
