• Lindsay Clancy responsible for another murder

    From Adam H. Kerman@3:633/10 to All on Sun Sep 6 02:45:42 2026
How bad was Lindsay Clancy's alleged post-partum depression? A mother in Frankfort Illinois, following the trial, decided that her son was the
devil and anti-Christ, hung him and was in the process of killing
herself when a neighbor and police and paramedics tried to revive the
boy and prevent her from carrying out the suicide attempt. Her 3 other
    children were unharmed.

That's horrible. What is wrong with this world? I truly hope people of
dubious mental stability like Lindsay Clancy don't suddenly become a
blueprint for other women to kill their children....

Yep. The media has played up her "innocence" so much that our society
is entering a new phase of depravity.

Nobody should ever have called her innocent. She definitely did
it. The question is how culpable she is.

The "jokes" about understanding how she felt are appalling. Some
aren't even joking. I saw one man whose wife posted a video sadly
saying that she understood, and the man immediately took the kids
and left the house. I get it. Maybe she just made a dumb video
for attention, but who wants to take a chance like that?

The meek shall inherit, we're told,
But I'm not so easily sold.
    For supposing they should,
It would do them no good --
They'd lose it at once to the bold.

Dear ghod. We all have terrible thoughts we cannot control, but no,
posting a video unable to leave a thought unexpressed is a threat, not a
    cry for help.

It's also a symptom of an entire generation who seems to think that any aspect of their lives that they don't post online isn't real.

Isn't this largely something women do?

The lies and unexpressed thoughts keep the relationship alive.

Nevertheless, in the case of "I just had an overwhelming urge to", it's
best to get a grip and not make it real. The urge will pass as
quickly as it came on. We aren't all Dexters.

I'd dispute the supposition that all, or most, or even more than a very,
very few mothers ever feel an urge to strangle even their noisiest kid.
