  • Michael J. Fox receives honours from the Government of Canada

    Canada does not give out knighthoods like our British mother country but
    we *do* give special honours to our most exceptional citizens in the
    form of the Order of Canada. The Order contains several levels and
    Michael J. Fox, who was previously at one level, was just elevated to a
    higher level.

    Fox was just promoted from the lowest level, member, to the middle

    I'm surprised he's still as functional as he is given he was diagnosed
    in 1991. Parkinson's doesn't kill right away but it sure makes a person miserable and he's had it a LONG time.
