In 2022, Saudi Arabia tried to spend $5 billion to grab top golfers from
the PGA. LIV Golf was set up. Somehow NEXSTAR added CW Sports to air its tournements, part of why they bought the C-Wub to begin with even though
their affiliates had no obligation to take sports programming.
None of it made sense.
As expected, LIV went bankrupt once Sadi funding was yanked. Now there
is BC Partners offering $300 million. How many golfers can this buy?
