Zombies Fight High School Theater Kids
in Wild New Comedy TV Show From Modern Family Star
    --------------------------------------------------
A new comedy show from a Modern Family star brings a
zombie apocalypse to a high school setting. The series
is developed as a microdrama for aTwist, a mobile-first
    entertainment platform.

Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson has directed a
comedy series for aTwist called Theater Kids vs. Zombies.
Ferguson also served as a producer alongside his partner
Justin Mikita for the show, which will premiere on the
    platform on October 15, 2026.

The official logline reads, "When zombies attack their
high school, a group of scrappy theater kids realizes
that their only hope for survival is to put on the
greatest musical of their lives. With humanity hanging in
the balance, the students must sing, dance, and fight
their way through the apocalypse - because for the
zombies to go, they must put on a show."

In a shared statement, Ferguson and Mikita said, "Musical
theater and zombies are our passion, so this is a
no-brainer. Thrilled to be bringing this silly, joyful,
camp, and fun microseries to life, or...death with this
    incredible team."

According to Deadline, the comedy microdrama stars Kadyn
Kozminski, Jeff Lawless, Amanda Drewes, John Woods III,
Danielle Judovits, Daunte Galindo, and Chris Bey. The
creative team also includes choreographer Jamal Sims and
Grammy Award-winning songwriter and producer Shane
    McAnally.

What else has Jesse Tyler Ferguson worked on besides
    Modern Family?
Beyond his long-running role as Mitchell Pritchett on
Modern Family, Ferguson has appeared on several other
television and movie projects. One of his earlier major
TV roles was Richie Velch on The Class. He also worked on
shows such as Ugly Betty, Hot in Cleveland, The Good
    Fight, and Web Therapy.

His other television credits include Do Not Disturb,
Elsbeth, and Mid-Century Modern. In addition to these,
Jesse Tyler Ferguson has many movie credits, including
Untraceable, Wonderful World, Cocaine Bear, Ivy + Bean:
Doomed to Dance, All That We Love, and Ice Age: Collision
Course, in which he voiced the Shangri-Llama.

Ferguson also has producing and executive-producing credits.
The list includes Broadway Rising and It's Okay. He served
as executive producer for the documentary Welcome to
Chechnya, the television series Extreme Makeover: Home
Edition, and OUTstanding with Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Theater Kids vs. Zombies will mark Ferguson's first project
    as a director.

This could actually be amusing, but it would need to be done *just
right*, and that seems less than likely...
