    Hello All!

It's pretty obvious what the "Plugins" directory is for but I don't recall ever seeing any WinPoint plugins anywhere. Does anyone know if any exist?

    Regards,
    Martin

It is a leftover from the "classic" WinPoint. The last version officially supporting plugins was probably 1.78 or so almost two decades ago. On the way to the current version, I removed the API because I did not really like how it worked and was too lazy to maintain it.

Yes, there existed a few plugins. The most prominent one was called WPBackup and could backup the configuration and maybe more. Also, I think multiple chess plugins existed.

Is there a way with the current version to backup the configuration?

I don't know what the official method is but I do this:

    - Copy everything in C:\Users\<my_username>\AppData\Roaming\WinPoint\ to
my backup directory on my NAS.

    - Backup(export) the following registry key to my backup directory on my
    NAS:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\New.Vision.Software\WinPoint\

    Works for me! :-)

    Regards,
    Martin

For me as well. In addition, one may like to backup the actual files.
