    Happy Saturday Everyone!

I'm looking for some ANSi advice if anyone has any to give... I'm newly revisiting doing ansi and working on creating an image. It's an IMG2ANS image I converted and have been working on the details and shading. It's looking pretty good for my first project and I've been happily surprised. Been using mostly Moebius, but it looks great in the other tools as well, Pablo, Icy, etc.

As a test, I took the ansi and posted it into a private test message on the local bbs and a TON of my black negative space shows up as light grey. It seems like it's mostly the blacks that were converted from the image. All my manually placed black look fine.

It's not using any ice colors, so no blinking. Just a lot of light grey where a lot of black should be. Is this an artifact from using IMG2ANS? Is there a way to search/replace the mismatched color without losing too much of my work?

    Thanks in advance!

I don't want to spam everyone with a horrible-looking ansi image, so here's a link to a couple screenshots.

First image is from moebius. Second is from the same image being posted into a message in mystic.

I'm narrowing down the issue a bit. So it's not just the black colors used by IMG2ANS. It's anytime I use a black full block. If the background is set to black and I use the spacebar to paint the pixel then it works fine.

I also noticed that the grey color only replaces the black when posting the ANSI image as a message or opening it in the built-in Mystic ANSI editor. It looks fine when displayed as part of a menu or as a DF command.

    I hope that makes sense.
