• The Pit with dosemu2 on Linux

    Hi all,

I have The Pit (door game) set up on my BBS, but only recently realized it doesn't seem to be working properly. I'm running my BBS with Synchronet in Linux, using dosemu2 to run DOS doors. The version I had installed is 3.00, and it just exits when I try to run it from my BBS. I've also tried versions 4.05 and 4.17, both which seem to hang when I run it from my BBS, but I can Ctrl-C to quit out of it. I can run it locally from dosemu and it runs successfully though.

I've set it up according to the Synchronet wiki, and trying a few different options for the command line with not much success:

Has anyone gotten The Pit successfully running with dosemu2 in Linux?

I seem to have found a way to get it to work. I disabled the FOSSIL driver setting in the game, and configured Synchronet to run it with "Standard" I/O rather than the FOSSIL driver.
