Coma Cluster of Galaxies (late evening)
Darker night skies are ideal to explore fainter objects, especially spring galaxies. The Coma Cluster contains approximately 1,000 galaxies, ten of which are observable in 8" or larger aperture telescopes. The cluster is centred a few degrees east of the naked-eye star Beta Comae Berenices. Most of the cluster's galaxies are of the elliptical class. The brightest members include NGC4889, 4874, and 4921. This region of sky is ideal for imaging.
