    Saturday will be a cloudy and breezy day across Connemara with rain developing widely through the afternoon and evening. The morning will start mostly cloudy with just a slight chance of rain in some areas, but conditions will deteriorate as a weather system moves in from the southwest. Rain will become more widespread and persistent by afternoon, with the heaviest falls expected along western coastal areas and the offshore islands where 5 mm or more is likely. Coastal and northern inland areas will see precipitation mostly between 2 and 5 mm. Temperatures will reach 20 to 23?C inland but will be notably cooler along exposed western coasts and islands where highs will only reach 17 to 18?C. South to south-southwest winds will be fresh and gusty throughout, reaching 23 to 26 kph with gusts of 38 to 41 kph, strongest along the coast and islands.

    Tomorrow night will remain overcast with further outbreaks of rain, though precipitation will become lighter and more scattered as the night progresses. Patchy light fog will develop in many areas, particularly inland and sheltered coastal locations. The chance of rain will gradually decrease from 50 percent in the evening to slight after midnight in most areas. Temperatures will fall to 13 to 16?C. Winds will ease somewhat to southwest 9 to 16 kph but will still gust to 30 to 33 kph at times, remaining strongest on western coasts.
