Welp I have this limping along on a pi now. Well see if it remains stable. I appreciate everyones paitents while waiting for me to fix
this. I will be testing this for a bit. Hoping to eventyally get a new server so I can host it on a much more powerful system.
I ran 2oFB on a Pi 4 for years... just didn't have enough disk space on it, or I'd still be running that machine.
I have the hardware to move my Dell r330 to an r730xd - that r330 is
still a capable server... where you at?? :P
Hit me up - I'd give you a killer deal or even gift an older r320 if needed. :P

I'm in Baldwin, MN 55371. I could really use something. All my servers are down since it was a R815 it had 64 Cores and 192 Gig ram. I would like to at least get my BBS and Foundry servers back up and running. Can't play DND until then. If theres still head room past that my Nextcloud server.
Glad to hear you're up and running! RPis seem to be nice (and handy)!
Best regards

Mail on my BBS is best - the Dell r330 is a better machine, but it
maxxed out @ 64GB RAM. It has a better Xeon CPU, but the damn r320 can take up to... oh gosh; 192GB RAM??? And I upgraded its CPU to a better one... heres some info about both:
Dell r330
64GB RAM DDR4
Intel Xeon E3-1280v5 4core/8thread
8 2.5" HDD bays
Dell r320
128GB RAM DDR3
Intel Xeon E5-2470v2 10core/20thread
... so its kinda funny, the older 3 series is almost the better machine IMO. I paid $350 for the r330 - but that was WITH 2xSAS 6xSATA 1TB
HDDs... I paid $50 for the r320, and added some 128GB RAM for I dunno - $130 or something.
But I've used the r330 for 2-3 years... the r320 has been chugging along as my Proxmox/TrueNAS SCALE NAS for around a year. I don't know market value, BUT if either of these 1U servers is up yer alley I'd give you a better than 'market' friend deal - I just dunno if shipping would cost
too much to make it worthwhile; I forget what I paid in shipping for the r330 - it came from Ohio and I think I remember it being less than $100, but don't remember...
I love cloudninjas.com for decent used server hardware - anyway, if
either of those I have is something you wanna think about just lemme
know. The r330 is great, its just that Dell changed the RAM that year and... I can't figure out why.

The r320 would be a better fit by the looks of it. I have 6 1.2TB 2.5" 10. If it uses DDR3 I have 192G of that. More COREs is better for me even if its overall slower. That allows for more headroom.
I would be intrested in the r320 just becasue of the amount of COREs.
I'm used to 64 COREs and 192G. Going to have to stop some servers for
now and if I can at least get the BBS running fully, my Foundry servers for my DND and Rifts campaigns, and the Nextcloud server I would be
happy. Those are the essential servers I like to have going.
Ok; for the r320, I paid
$50 - server
$130 - RAM
$50 - better Xeon procesor
... We can set a fair price together - I went on CloudNinjas.com and priced out a used r320 w/ these specs and it was stupid expensive; like $700. I don't need anywhere close to that.
Just hit me on 2oFB and we'll iron it out - and heck yea, I'll lean on
you if I ever go HAM!!!
