I think that the biggest project that needs to be tackled would to make a working terminal program for mobile devices. With so many people using phones and tablets now and very few folks still on actual computers, it's needed more than ever. Maybe if someone that knows what they're doing could maybe port Netrunner or Syncterm to mobile, that would be great and probably the easiest rather than building one from scratch.

ConnectBot for Android has been around for many years. But have you ever tried fitting an 80x25 terminal window on a 6-inch screen?

See above where "TERMinator" was mentioned? That was just recently released and is a port of SyncTerm. Works great, and available in the
Apps stores for both IOS and Android.

What is the best way to find it? keywords terminator and syncterm don't find anything except termux which might be similar.

I can't speak for Android, as I'm using an iPhone, but searching for "terminator" in the App Store shows it just fine for me.

I saw that TERMinator seems to be made by the sysop of Absinthe BBS and it can be downloaded there, so I checked out his BBS but it wasn't really obvious where to download it from.
