I am a right winged homosexual, but there is a reason why there is Alphabet peoples month. Many people were harassed and even violence was committed on them because of who they are. It would of been nice just to be who you are and not having to worry about society persecuting you when you are younger.

Many ethnic or minority groups of people experienced violence because of who they were, yet for the most part we do not have entire months for such history lessons. For some reason a big deal is made about this particular group.

I politely question and challenge the narrative that I must take a month to be reminded of the violence and struggles of a group that, in the 80's, did NOT want to be celebrated but just wanted to fit-in, that what goes on in their bedrooms was nobodys business. That was fair and logical, but as of today, has morphed into something which MUST be accepted by a straight person "or else".

They are one of the most protected class of citizens in 2026 bar none thanks to the media and Internet... Seems to me that we don't need to be reminded, that their movement achieved what it set out to do, long ago.
