Over here the max today is about 10 celcius... too cold for sandals :

As I'm posting this it is currently 34c with a "feels Liike" of 39c. That is south Alabama, about 70 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. ---

    You mis-typed 93f and 102f. Alabama doesn't do "C".

I put it in Celsius to save Avon from having to do the conversion, because I'm nice like that. :)

Also, it's the Gulf of America. ;-)

Nope, It's the Gulf of MEXICO. The fat orange infant does NOT have the authority to change it's name!!! And I will NEVER call it that!

That last bit... distance from the Gulf... for those not familiar with that part of the United States, that means the air is like *soup*.

Well, this part IS basically a rain forest environment. :)

I'm too old to give a damn about fashion. COMFORT is the ONLY thing that matters!

Srs. When I stopped wearing full on shoes (switched to sandals) it was really liberating. Most of my callusses went away, even! Then we went on avacation that required a lot of walking so I got some Asic shoes. They're ok, but I miss comfortable sandals. Need to find a nice pair again, preferrably with that "Tempurpedic" foam inside.

With the amount of fecal matter they find in Gulf waters, would that make the air like "poop soup"? :)

Thanks for the correction. I have never tried porridge. It is the consistency of oats, right? :D

I've not been down there since 2000. That year, the area I was in was infested with sharks and, by the end of the week, piles of seaweed that apparently extended from Gulf Shores to at least part-way down the Florida peninsula.

Normally, more fecal matter is found in ice bins of your local bar
    than in Gulf waters.

Yeah yesterday was insane. Here in the southern Sweden things are already
