So I made this as a door program (in Go, linux) last year, but picking it
back up in Lua as it's sooo much simpler to write w/script. And stands a
better chance of being cross-platform under Talisman.
Essentially, it's called "Door of Doors" which is a SQLite database of
door programs, searchable and sortable by category and name, with
multiple launch options per door: e.g., door server(s) or local. I thought
it'd be cool to select, say, L.O.R.D, and then pick where to play it -- Locally, BBSLink, GoldMine, etc. Each door server can be configured with
its own launch instructions.
Anyway, just started on the Admin portion -- manage servers, categories,
doors -- and so far so good.
I was thinking about integrating it tightly into Talisman by generating
TOML menu files for server, category, game, but that would be a LOT of
TOML, especially since there could be tens, if not hunderd or so,
games lol.
Also thinking about how to handle larger programs in Lua, with
code organization for multiple files, etc. Fun stuff!
