This line leads me to suspect that you have something in your retronet config wrong. Check to see what your routing is set to. It should be to your retronet hub. I suspect you've got the nixnet hub there.

Let me know what you find out. I'm glad to help. BTW, I've never been able
to get a mystic netmail to go direct. It always goes routed.

Unfortunately yes. It's been a multi year search trying to figure out what's going on. I really just gave up. I'm open to correcting it however. Any other suggestions?

it's setup correctly. looking at the logs, i think it only routes via xxx, if i areafix from the Networking --> Echomail Nodes screen

it is set to YES for direct. but i looked at the logs and it seems to do it if i areafix within the Networking>>>Echomail Nodes screen. doing areafix from messages instead does route directly. must be a bug in the former.

Kinda makes me wonder if you have to actually setup a direct link in Echomail Nodes for the specific link you want to send direct, which would kind of defeat the whole purpose. Other than that, it would use the catch all link that you route everything wild carded through.

I also wonder, if you disabled that catch all wildcard link temporarily, and with those settings I mentioned, if it would do it then?

Yeah, I suppose it could be. Hopefully, some day we can get an answer to that. :/

I've played with the settings til I got so frustrated that I gave up. I did send you a netmail with my hub setting to direct instead of crash. Let's see if you get it.
