I rearly watch live TV. It helps to also skip the adds, and pause a

Interesting... At one point, not to long ago I evaluated so many TV options over the years... Ultimately ended up Emby with antennas on the roof and Tivo Stream 4k's around the house modded with a different front end to
speed them up.

As for content, it comes in through antenna, and other means.

I originally had two twin TV cards in a computer running mediaportal. Everything like tv (both live and recorded) was great. Watching a MP4 etc
movie file, and even real DVD's.. Netflix was a hack though, along with the
TV guid data..

I switched to the Fetch box about four years ago, after having isses with
the above setup and not wanting to bugger around with it to get it going.

As for content, it comes in through antenna, and other means.

I still have a antenna on the roof! I'll look through the TV guide and mark things to get recorded, or when skipping the adds see a mention of a show.
I'll then go and mark it as well.
